Vincennes University Baseball Postseason Information

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University baseball team is once again headed back to the Mid-West Athletic Conference (MWAC) tournament this weekend, earning the No. 7 seed overall.

The Trailblazers will hit the road and begin postseason play Thursday, May 8 at Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Ill. and will open the tournament against host Lincoln Land at 1 p.m. eastern.

Vincennes earned a spot in the MWAC Poll B section of the tournament along with No. 2 seed and host Lincoln Land Community College, No. 3 seed Parkland College and No. 6 seed Danville Area Community College.

The tournament is a double elimination format with the winner of this weekend's tournament heading to Missouri to face off in a four-team double elimination tournament at the Central District Championships along with two team from the Missouri Region and the Region 24 Poll A winner.

The winner of the Central District Championship tournament will earn an automatic bid to the 2025 NJCAA Division II College World Series in Enid, Okla.

Game 1 – Lincoln Land vs. Vincennes – 1 p.m.

Game 2 – Parkland vs. Danville Area – 4 p.m.

Game 3 – Loser of Game 1 vs. Loser of Game 2 – 7 p.m.

Friday, May 9

Game 4 – Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2 – 12 p.m.

Game 5 – Winner of Game 3 vs. Loser of Game 4 – 3 p.m.

Saturday, May 10

Game 6 – Winner of Game 4 vs. Winner of Game 5 – 12 p.m.

Game 7 – Winner of Game 6 vs. Loser of Game 6 – 3 p.m. (IF NESSECARY)

Tournament games are played by traditional MWAC Conference rules, with all games being nine innings, with the 10-run rule after five innings and eight-run rule after seven innings in effect.

Any games delayed because of rain, light failure, etc., will be resumed from the point of suspension regardless of number of innings played.
