Vincennes opened the doubleheader by taking game one by the final score of 2-0 before dropping game two to the Blue Storm 11-0. The Trailblazers opened the doubleheader with a hard fought pitcher’s duel in game one, with neither team able to break onto the scoreboard in the first four innings of the game.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Vincennes University baseball team closed out their four-game weekend Mid-West Athletic Conference series Saturday afternoon against No. 14-ranked Parkland College. The Trailblazers dropped the pair of games to close out the series, falling in game one to the Cobras 11-1 before falling in game two 12-2. Vincennes got the day started in game one, breaking onto the scoreboard in the second inning after sophomore Yancey Edlin (Pekin, Ind.) reached on an error to lead off the inning.

The day did not get off to a great start for VU with Lewis & Clark taking game one 10-4 before Vincennes closed out the weekend strong with a big 11-1 victory in game two. Lewis & Clark opened the morning in game one of the day plating one run in the first to take an early 1-0 lead over VU.

Vincennes was able to battle back and split the first two games of this four-game weekend series, falling in game one 10-2 before bouncing back and taking game two of the day 13-3.

CARTERVILLE, Ill. – The Vincennes University baseball team faced another tough road test Tuesday afternoon as the Blazers hit the road to face off against NJCAA Division I No. 16-ranked John A. Logan College in Carterville, Ill. The Trailblazers were able to do some good things on the diamond but were unable to overcome a big early inning by the Volunteers as the Trailblazers fell by the final score of 10-3. John A. Logan broke the game open early Tuesday afternoon, striking first in a big way in the second inning, scoring seven runs to take an early 7-0 lead over the Trailblazers.

The Trailblazers got off to a hot start in game one but dropped both games on the day by the final score of 6-5 and 13-0 in game two. VU opened the day in game one of the day, getting on the board in the third inning after lead off singles by sophomores Bryce Gross (Bridgeport, Ill.) and Bradyn Douglas (Frankton, Ind.).

The Trailblazers battled back from a slow start as the Blazers extended their winning streak to six games with a 6-4 victory over the Trojans. NIACC got the scoring started early, plating four runs in the first inning.

The Blazers faced some tough competition Friday in front of the home fans and were able to extend their winning streak to five games after defeating North Iowa Area Community College 11-8 and picking up a big win over No. 15 Kellogg Community College 1-0. Vincennes opened the weekend slate against North Iowa Area Community College and wasted little time getting the offense going in game one of the day.

Wednesday February 26, 2025..  Vincennes, IN.... Jerry Blemker Baseball Field... The Vincennes University baseball team (5-3) won 13-12 over Frontier College (4-7) Wednesday afternoon at Jerry Blemker Baseball Field.  The key stats for the day were Freshman RHP Grayson Reinhert threw 6 innings in relief to get his first collegiate win and freshman RHP Jakob Hoyer earned his first collegiate save.  Vincennes University scored in 5 of the 8 innings they hit including an 8 run 5th inning.   Frontier started off the scoring by putting up 2 runs  in the 1st inning and 1 run in the second inning off starting Freshman RHP Kyle Holder (2 IP 3 R, 3 ER , 3H, 1Bb, 1 K , 2 HBP).  RHP Grayson Reinhert started the 3rd inning and pitched 6 innings allowing 2 runs on 3 hits and walking 3 and striking out 1 and inducing one double play and pitching a clean 7th and 8th innings.  He picked up his first collegiate win and is 1-0 on the year now.  RHP Jacob Hoyer came in to relieve in the 9th inning with a score of 13-10  and bases loaded with no outs faced 4 hitters allowing 1 hit, struck out one and earned his 1st collegiate save and first on the year. Offensively the Trailblazer answered back in the bottom of the 1st inning with 2 runs to tie the score.  Sophomore 2B Bradyn Douglas ( 3-4, 2 R, 3 RBI, 2 SB) lead off the game with a single.  Sophomore CF Noble Johnson (2-4, R, HBP) was hit by a pitch and both moved up to 2nd and 3rd on a pass ball.  Sophomore LF Nate Montgomery ( 2-5, 2 R, 3 RBI, BB, SB) had an RBI groundout scoring Douglas and moving Johnson to 3B.   Sophomore DH Corbin Napier (1-2 , 2 R, 1 RBI , 2 HBP) was HBP to put runners on the corners. Sophomore 1B Yancey Edlin (1-3 R, 1 RBI) drove in Johnson on a bunt base hit tying the score 2-2 in the bottom of the 1st.

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Baseball team returned to Jerry Blemker Field Tuesday morning looking to bounce back from their home opener Monday afternoon with doubleheader action against Morton College and a rematch against NJCAA Division III No. 15 Joliet Junior College. The Blazers were able to open up fast starts in both games and ride the early momentum to a 5-2 victory over Morton College and an 8-4 victory over Joliet to complete the doubleheader sweep. Vincennes opened the day Tuesday morning with a showdown against Morton College.

CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Vincennes University baseball team closed out their four-game weekend series Sunday afternoon with Cleveland State Community College. The Trailblazers were able to jump on the Cougar pitchers early Sunday afternoon and ride this hot start to a big 14-6 victory over Cleveland State C.C. The VU offense wasted little time getting going Sunday afternoon with the first six Trailblazer batters reaching base safely.

CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Vincennes University baseball team opened their 2025 Spring season Friday afternoon with a single nine-inning game at Cleveland State Community College in Tennessee. The Trailblazers got off to a rocky start but were able to battle back and take the lead late unfortunately this lead would not hold as VU fell in their season opener to the Cougars 7-6. The season did not get off to the best of starts for the Trailblazers, after a scoreless top of the first, the host Cougars opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning with four runs to take an early 4-0 lead.
