Vincennes University Men’s Basketball NJCAA Tournament Information
VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Men's Basketball season continues this weekend after the Trailblazers earned the No. 14 seed in the 2025 Credit Union 1 NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship tournament, presented by Zurich at the Hutchinson Sports Arena in Hutchinson, Kan.
The Trailblazers earned one of eight at-large bids to the National Tournament and earned the No. 14 seed in the 24-team field with a current record of 26-4.
VU will open their National tournament run Saturday, March 22 when the Blazers take on Three Rivers College from Poplar Bluff, Mo. at 9 p.m. eastern.
The Trailblazers will be making their 39th National tournament appearance in school history, an NJCAA record and 12th trip in the past 13 seasons, also an NJCAA record.
VU Hall of Fame Head Coach Todd Franklin will be making his 16th appearance at the NJCAA National tournament, including four trips at Southeastern Illinois College, moving him into second place All-Time in Coaching Tournament appearances, just one behind NJCAA Hall of Famer Gene Bess.
Franklin's 23 victories at the NJCAA National tournament are also tied for fifth All-Time in NJCAA history with five Final Four appearances, four at Vincennes and one at Southeastern Illinois and one National Championship at VU in 2019.
The Vincennes University Men's Basketball program also holds the NJCAA All-Time record for victories at the NJCAA National tournament with 70 and is tied for first all-time for most National Championships won with four.
The 2025 Credit Union 1 NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship tournament will run from Saturday, March 22 through Saturday, March 29.
All tournament games through the National Semi-finals will be streamed live on ESPN+, with the National Championship game airing on ESPNU.
