VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Cross Country and Track and Field 2021 recruiting class was kicked off with the signing of Reed Lawless from Morgan Township High School in Valparaiso.
"Reed is a dedicated distance runner who was the top senior at Morgan Township," VU Cross Country and Track coach Chris Gafner said. "Reed will have a chance to help us right away next fall and I'm excited that he will be joining the Trailblazer family."
Lawless is coming off of being named to the 2019 All Porter County Conference team.
Lawless was also a member of the Student-Athlete leadership council, where only select students were picked by their coaches from each sport to be a part of.
"What led me to choose Vincennes University was how much of a perfect fit it was for me," Lawless said. "I was able to find exactly what major I was looking for, I was looking at other colleges and none of them were the right fit for me but Vincennes was perfect."
"I am really looking forward to running at the collegiate level next year for the overall team aspect and being in a new place with new people really excites me," Lawless added.
The VU Athletic Department welcomes Reed Lawless to the 2021 recruiting class and wishes him well in his senior track and field season this spring.
